Daewoo

Daewoo brand itself appeared in 1967 in South Korea - the company was engaged in trade in textiles. Today, Daewoo produces nearly 3,000 names of products and has offices in more than 160 countries. In 1978 Daewoo Motor Company Co was co-founded with General Motors and headquartered in Seoul . Subsequently, Daewoo bought the share of General Motors and began to develop their own production. Initially the cars were made on the basis of Opel, and then the company has decided to provide an extensive product range based on their own development. Production costs were too high, and the company stood on the brink of bankruptcy and again came under the influence of American corporation.

In 1995, Daewoo has entered the European market with two basic models - small class of Nexia and average Espero. Nexia model is based on the units of Opel Kadett, and Espero sedan designed by Bertone company on the basis of units of the Opel Ascona model. Both cars are popular in Russia because of the low prices. Indeed, sometimes the cost of a VAP (Volga Automobile Plant) models with different "finishing touches" can be compared with Daewoo. A favorite of the audience is Nexia released in Uzbekistan.
