Full name of Honda is Honda Motor Company (Honda Giken Kogyo KK). Soichiro Honda founded it in the late of 30-ies as a company for components production. Honda is a Japanese company that produces cars and motorcycles, as well as a variety of specialized equipment, along with a variety of engines. It's headquartered in Tokyo.

History of vehicle production began since 1949 from motorcycles. Development and production were organized very successive and ten years later – in 1959 – Honda became the hugest company on motorcycles production. The same year in US was opened Honda division named American Honda Motor Company and in 1982 a plant on cars production in Ohio.

Having made a good name, the company decided to focus on automotive industry. The first car released by Honda, was a cargo van, and the second - two-seater sports car, competing in speed with BMW. In the early 70s-ies the company has developed and launched the Civic model, which has become popular due to a successful “price-quality” balance. Along with the Civic, Accord model was very popular in America. One of the main features of the Honda vehicles is high-speed motors. Last time Honda issues power units with changeable phases of gas distribution.

One of Honda subsidiaries named Acura produces cars for US. Acura relates to executive cars and pretends to market share in America among luxury cars.

As for Russian roads, the most popular model is Civic in different versions. At the last time increased interest to CR-V compact offroadster.
