Nissan

Nissan

Nissan company was founded in 1925 as a result of consolidation of two companies - Kwaishinsha Co ( Dat car producer) and Jitsuo Jidosha Co. It was named as Dat Jidosha Seizo Co. First time new company produced cars under Datsun brand. First passenger car – Nissanocar - was announced in 1931. It was very successive and economical model. During the Second World War the company produced trucks and other equipment for the army. After occupation production was shut down and terminated up to 1955.

Production was resurrected in 1960-ies. Company was the first Japanese automaker who realized all advantages of American and European market. Nissan Datsun 240 Z sportcar was designed in US in 1969 and took a first place by sales in its class. At the end of 1970-ies Nissan started production of the highest group cars in middle class. Company didn't forget about offroadsters – Nissan Patrol is known in Russia as “immortal jeep”. Nissan has subsidiaries in US, Germany, Australia, Peru and Mexico.
